The U.S. Navy’s West Coast Super Hornet Demonstration Team will bring its F/A-18 Super Hornet flying demonstration to the show. Its last appearance was in 2010. The “Flying Eagles” are based at Naval Air Station Leemore in Central California.

The demonstration team flies the single-seat F/A-18E and two-seat F/A-18F during show performances. The aerial routine is designed to highlight the Super Hornet’s maneuverability and slow-speed handling characteristics.

Nice artwork detail on the Nanchang...

2 and 3 look like you're really reaching via crop and had to sharpen heavily to make them work. Shutter speed's a little high too.

Nice vapor on the Hornet

Nice vapor on the Hornet (who told you it was privately owned and operated? No such animal...)

I know the pics aren't that great, but my first try at flying planes. I was told at the air show that the F-18 was Private, but after your remark I researched through the paper and have made the changes. Thank for the info. The F-18 had it's military markings faded out, so I believed the rumor.

Everyone has problems the first time. Sometimes after that, too! ;)
