Some work I did last night on a new flash setup.

Canon 5D, 24-105L
Flash is Metz CT45, Canon 540ez slaved to an EOS Elan A2, no film or lens just to trigger the flashes. Full power, 1/1 direct

First one, I make a cameo on the right, didn't realize how wide 24mm is on full
frame

Second, same location

Final, southbound after meeting the second in Palm Bay, this was shot in
Valkaria Rd. to the liking of millions of mosquitoes.

These are ready good, however you must have freaked the Engineer out with a flash going off at 3Am next to his train.
Love the idea, very cool work. Thanks for posting.
the last one is rocks, love the light trail coming from the trees.

A few days before I post on a local message board were a few of them hang out and let them know I'm going to be out and about.

Very interesting pictures, great timing. Bet the train crew was wondering what was going on... My luck they would have called the police on me and that would have been interesting to try to explain...

Your watermark has me curious, care to share??

I go by the alias "Sugar" on a popular imageboard which shall remain nameless.

Rules 1 and 2 are in full effect.

I remember the basics from chemistry and realized it was some variant of a sugar/glucose compound but it just struck me as odd as it was out of place as a watermark, but it makes sense now...

nice shots..
Try a Thermo-cell, on those pesky (and apparently well fed) mosquitoes... I've found it works really good when it isn't too windy.

Fabulous, really like them.

One thing I can't get my head around is ... How is it the train is coming through the same time barriers are coming down?

In England the barriers go down about five minutes before the train arrives.

I believe it a Flash Exposure of the Locomotive, but Ambient Exposure of the surrounding area, thus the trailing lights.

To the OP, if you ever head North, check out the O Winston Link Museum in Roanoke, VA. You will love his work, if you don't already... :)
