Yes, have whichever lens you plan on using whenever you disembark the ship, already ON the camera.

Have a great trip.

Don't forget to take plenty of photos of the beautiful white sand beaches, and the "scenery" on the beach. Both flora AND "fauna".


Photographers do it in 1/1,000th of a second...but the memory lasts forever! ;)

Very timely post for me; I'm doing the same trip this summer as well. I had pretty much decided to take my Mk IV, 16-35, 70-200 2.8 IS II and the 1.4 extender and the 580 EX II. I'm still up in the air on whether or not to take the 24-70 or 85 1.8 (currently leaning against taking either one of those at this point).

I just found out my insurance company won't cover my gear outside of the U.S., so I've decided to scale things down a bit and am taking my 50D and renting an 18-200 for the trip. I'm kind of looking forward to traveling light (in the camera department) for once.
