The photographer's, err, paparazzo's, expression is comic. Alec appears to continue his struggles with anger-management. I just watched Glengarry Glen Ross last weekend for the first time...good thing or the "Always be closing" line would have gone right past me.

Never saw Glengarry Glen Ross but at least I got the "Punches With Friends" joke ;)

Yeah, I suppose Alec still has anger issues.

im sorry, but your whole career hinges on your public persona and exposure, yet complain when you have no privacy. the only reason you make money is becuase people follow your existence and a company can market you.

it comes with the territory, if you dont like it, quit being an actor and disappear.

Yes, and could he hurry? Didn't he once promise to leave the country (the U.S.) if George W. Bush was re-elected?

Yeh, but don't you think that some push the boundary just that bit too far? Even over here I Ozz I have seen the paparazzi in action and was quite stunned at the the way they pushed and shoved to get "that" shot. I notice though when they are trying to get a shot of a Hell's Angel or Finks bikie club member leaving a courtroom they stand well back with their 70-200's haha

I wonder how a Buddhist monk hitting someone ranks when compared to Priests molesting kids? Is there a bad behavior religious chart posted where I can look this up?

I think this is an unwarranted apologia for photographers behaving badly. Just because a person has a successful career as an actor does not automatically mean that he should expect to surrender all privacy and human dignity. Anybody who makes that claim is speaking out of envy.

Furthermore -- and I'm going to catch a lot of flack on this from some -- having a camera in hand does not grant one license to violate every rule of civil behavior while thinking that your target should still be held by those rules. If the photographer obstructed Mr. Baldwin's path or personal space by trying to force him to raise his head for the shot (watch the video), Mr. Baldwin had every right to react in the manner that he did. In fact, he seemed rather more restrained than I might have been and I'm pretty mild-mannered. In my opinion, the photographer had it coming to him and should man up and quit whining. You play in traffic, you have to expect to get hit by a car.

Paparazzo? Are you kidding me? Marcus is a legit working news shooter in New York.

Yes, now I've noticed that too and it always makes me smile. That said, don't think I'd push a lens into one of their faces either, come to think of it.

Paparazzo is someone who takes candid photos of celebrities...but I guess Alec Baldwin isn't a celebrity, and this was a "legit" news event. OK. Seriously, even if/though you are right, the image looks like a pretty typical paparazzi/celebrity encounter. My sincere apologies to Marcus: legit working news shooter/not-paparazzo.

Saw Balldwin on Letterman . I'll go with his side of the story . Even by the picture , you can see he's was going for the camera and not throwing a punch . Said the guy had the camrea in his face , sounds like they guy deserved what he got . For someone who might not be a paparazzo , he sure acted like one .

Baldwin is a known *******. He has a list of incidences where he's pulled this kind of crap. The photographer is an award-winning photojournalist who has covered news all over the world. He's a professional, not some idiot paparazzi. The picture shows a split second of an altercation, we have no idea what he was going for.
