Hey, I had another hiking MeetUp early this evening, another bike ride with my photo gear on my back:

Tony you never cease to amaze me at how you stay positive no matter what life (or your bike) throws at you.

Starting a week of steady rain here. Pretty gloomy.

Thanks for sharing

Heh! Thanks for the thoughts, Walt! I was chatting with an old friend a couple weeks ago -- I made the comment that I can look at little bits of my life, little "chunks", and get a smile because something is nice, or a chuckle because something is funny, I just don't want to look much at it all wrapped together at this point of life!

Anyway, today is a "day off", but tomorrow I'll be heading for another MeetUp, and will put a few more miles on my bike and photos in my camera! My legs "feel" the exertions of this past week, but hey, give me time!

OK, another photo "opportunity"!

Last Sunday, Father's Day, something came up that stirred up some deep memories, and inspired a story (link to follow). Some self-portraits, using a hot-shoe flash for fill with the camera turned sideays:

Wow, just a quick note -- I went out to get my bike and head to a noon MeetUp along the Columbia River today, my backpack with my 5DC walkaround camera and two lenses, only to discover that my bike was missing, stolen!

That's a very demoralizing thing to discover!

In the process of expressing my dismay to friends in Facebook, a couple of local old friends (we go back 40 years) mentioned that they had an old mountain bike in their garage, not being used, my friend Larry went out to check it out, oiled it up and ride it around, and says it works, and I'm free to come pick it up!

Wow, I'll be heading over there later this afternoon and be back in action as a Biking Photog!!

Buy a lock and lock it up this time. Sorry to hear of the misfortune but happy to hear that you've got great friends.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Yeah, I had left the bicke unsecured outside my home Thursday, now my nice lock is gone with the bike, I'll need a new one!

Bummer! You got the police looking for it? I'd file a police report on it.

I don't have a serial# for it, just photos. It's an ancient Mountain Bike, it's been gone for 2-3 days, I doubt the police would have any good way of finding it. I thought about calling the area bike shops, but today is Sunday. I'll think about it tomorrow...

Check any pawn shops too. Let them know you lost it. My friend lost some camera equipment (stolen from a church during a wedding) and about 2 months later we found it on eBay. A Pawn shop was selling them. Apparently, the thief waited a while and then pawned everything.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions!

Hey, Tony have you put any more miles on that new bike. Guess the weather hasn't been that great out there.

Looking forward to more of your "meet-up" photos
