Anyone ever heard of oaktechnology.net for buying photo equipment?

If it's too good to be true it usually is.....THAT I already know.

They don't show up on reseller ratings at all.

The fact that it's listed $300 cheaper then the reputable dealers gives you a definitive answer.

Also, the fact that it's listed as a f/12 lens and the other syntax errors are dead give aways too.

I always wondered how much money I could make if I were morally bankrupt. I could have done mortgage scams, fake products, and offers to send money for nothing in return for an up front fee. Or maybe pure sales. Ya never know.

I did a little digging. I can not be sure but it seems they are trying to tie themselves to a manufacturer of computer components from the past.

IT also seems to be a Hong Kong company with a us importer??? Along with what has been posted above, I would avoid it. I fing it interesting as well that even with a Google search I can not find any reviews or statements about the company.

well, they're not in Nigeria so they must be ok.

There are too many good vendors available to risk that much money with someone you have never heard of before.

If I'm buying a $6 lens cap - sure, I'll give them a shot, but on a $1K lens? No way.
