Would love some constructive criticism on these 3 photos. Figured my little sis would be a good subject since she's a pretty girl:

You should have positioned her where you were not fighting with exposure...the bright sunlight.

Also take her somewhere with a more interesting background. Great first attempt!

She is cute! you can have her sitting down in that yard, avoiding the neighbors yards and fence tops. That way she is also in more shade. Keep on going, you have the concept down lovely.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Gotcha! I'll work on that. Thanks!

Well I guess I'll have to go to a park next time lol.

What about the post-processing? Anything I could've done differently?

A little too much blue on the second one for my tastes. I wouldn't care if it wasn't in her hair.

I have a T3 camera and stuff.

You have some good things going on here, but like others have said, try positioning your model differently.

The first shot shows a nice pose and good lighting (and very pretty face), but all that has to compete with the neighbors roof that draws too much attention. A little reposition and you have a really nice shot there.

As others have mentined, the position with the sun just works against the shot there.

The third shot has potential. It looks clean enough that I wonder if you can crop in to a very tight head shot? Here hand is positioned nicely and her eyes really pop (but again, compete with the background). Crop to show just a bit of the top of her head on top, and just a part of her hand on the bottom and position those eyes so they're the focal point of the frame and see what happens.

My 2 cents.

A lovely girl. That smile could sell toothpaste.
In the first pose I think I'd have her look at the camera so we can see whites on both sides of her eyes and I wouldn't have her turn her back so far - that brightly lit area on her back competes with her face for attention.

Yes....very pretty girl. I like #1 the best but the background is distracting (as it is on the others as well). Regardless of the background, try using less DoF in the future to make your subject stand out more.

Yea, after looking at the photos the day we shot this, I told her next time I'll use my Canon 50mm 1.4. The Tamron I used gave some clean shots but the background is more noticeable. Thanks for the critique. ;)

That first one would have been killer if it wasn't for the bright spot on her back. However, composition is great and the processing is nice too. Background is OK but that roofs have got to go. Call construction and have them removed. Just kidding. Try and find a fence like that but only higher or try that pose with her sitting on a stool maybe.
