I've just checked on my 5D3 and, bearing in mind I've got around 10 RAW and 60 Jpegs on it already, it comes up with 513 on a 16Gb SDHC card and 535 on a bare 16Gb CF card.

That number is going to be relative to ISO and noise. Higher ISO and more noise = larger file sizes. A 20MB file can easily be 30MB+ if shot at high ISO.
