Heres a few from today

QUOTED IMAGE

I like this shot but it makes my brain hurt a little bit. I can't determine the point of view. One time it looks like a plane flying overhead. The next time I look at it I'm overhead and it's a boat cutting thru the water below. A photo-optic illusion!

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Thats the whole point.. is it me sitting in a plane photographing a boat at the sea down there? Or is it a plane coming down from the sky? Or maybe it's something else.

You will probably figure it out, but i'm glad i got some attention from it :)

I tried with another one here:

Hi bent toe,

The last one needs rotated 90 degrees to the right. We are looking at a bridge over water with mountains in the back ground.

Dang! You guys always get epic sunsets down there. I wonder why? They're harder to come by up here in Washington.

Got to borrow a friends Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX APO non-os non-macro, yes the really old original model. Was trying to see what the difference was with it and my kit 18-135 lens. All SOOC.
One of my wife:

My son's last HS basketball game this season:

and a comparison between my kit 18-135 to the sigma:

Canon 18-135EFS vs Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX APO (external link) by JimmieFigz (external link), on Flickr
You can really see the contrast and color difference between the two. I also find this sigma to be a little softer than my kit lens
