My mum said the same, I hadn't actually noticed. No this is how it was when I photographed it. :)

Hey Gordon,

How did you get the night sky to look blue in the picture of the catering cottage?

Thanks,

Jon...

Hi, relatively new 60D owner here, wondering what people set as max ISO usually. I usually leave ISO in auto and shoot manual or aperture priority. Was using 3200 as the max but have dropped it back to 1600 and it looks better.

Lots to learn and I look forward to contributing some pics very soon.

I tend to leave ISO at 100. Up it manually as and when. The problem with setting it to auto, as soon as you get in a challenging situation you're camera will max it out trying to keep other things at acceptable levels. Normally you might be able to balance that out a bit yourself and not just jump the ISO right up.

It's only one button you need to hit on the top to change ISO so can be done really quick without even looking when you get used to it. Try it!

Hello Jon, I loaded the raw file into dpp, set landscape mode as this enhances blues and greens. I also set tungsten white balance, I remember reading online this was a tip for sunsets, using tungsten wb can give you a nice effect. Hope that helps. :)
