Feb 18, 2013 10:16 | #3393 Hey 60D shooters. Is there a wireless shutter release that will also do the half-click autofocus? None of the ones on Amazon that I'm looking at will specify that feature. 60D | 14 | 28 | 17-40L | 85 | 70-200L

It has the same half press to autofocus as the camera. it also has a lock to leave the shutter open for long exposures I think. https://buttonmasher.smugmug.com/

These are just altered in dpp, it was a good clear night last night but it looked nothing like these shots. I think the further north you go, you have more chance of seeing the northern lights. places like iceland, scandanavia, even the far north of scotland. https://buttonmasher.smugmug.com/

I usually leave ISO in auto and shoot manual or aperture priority. Was using 3200 as the max but have dropped it back to 1600 and it looks better. Lots to learn and I look forward to contributing some pics very soon. I have mine at 1600, but I only use AutoISO when I would normally use a flash and that's not practical. I use the AutoISO as a fill flash basically.

I also set tungsten white balance, I remember reading online this was a tip for sunsets, using tungsten wb can give you a nice effect. Hope that helps. ![]() Excellent....that helps a lot!
