New to the forum but had the 60D for a fair while and it serves its purpose extremely well..

some snaps from my recent visit to lake windermere

A beautiful sunset going down behind the mountain on the end of the jetty from the cottage we stayed in.

Simple shot, but i liked how simple it looked.

Another very simple and some might not appreciate what I saw / see but I liked the way it sat with the sun in the backdrop

Hand held at 1/2 so was pretty happy with the result of lack of shake

On the way back from doing some photos and the sun was going down so it seemed right to get a nice photo of the silhouette of the Vulcan with the sun going down :)

IMAGE: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a291/D4le/vulcan1222_zps2cc3df2b.jpg

and two from the Red arrows which were commisioned for magazine use which was pretty cool.

and another one, think they will fail the mot on the emissions

Pretty sure this a more powerful image in B&W than it would ever be in color. Sort of makes your head swim to look at it, like an M. C. Escher illustration.

add: What went wrong there? It only quoted the link but not the image. Is that 'cuz it's hosted on the site?

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Great expressions. I'm guessing these are largely straight from the camera. If so I'd be tempted to very carefully add just a touch, just a wee bit of sharpening and I'll bet they really POP against that nice soft background. Sharpen it, but not so much that it looks like you sharpened it. You know, like getting a haircut that doesn't look like you just got a haircut. ;)

It's because it's uploaded to this site as an attachment.

Thanx Strontium! I guess I've never quoted one that was posted that way before. :o

That is really a cool gadget! Thank you for posting :)

I don't shoot that much video, and I am pretty sure I could never afford this, but I was not able to find what the cost is. I went to freeflysystems.com but did not find anything about cost. Do you know who sells this equipment?
