I will play around with it a bit again when I get back to my own computer. I had left it uncropped because I thought the space helped describe the manoeuver, but if that doesn't work I'll try it a bit tighter. 5Dc, 60D, Rokinon 8mm/3.5, Rokinon 14mm/2.8, Canon 40mm/2.8, Canon 100-400mm/4.5-5.6

I had left it uncropped because I thought the space helped describe the manoeuver, but if that doesn't work I'll try it a bit tighter. I like my 60D / 100-400 combo for taking shots of aircraft (when there's enough light). Higher fps would be nice when you're shooting faster planes. I had rented a 100-400 to take to an airshow, and that sure helped me make up my mind on what to buy. My buddy brought his 70-200, and it was nice for the stuff that happened over the runway because we had a good spot midfield, but the extra reach of the 100-400 was awesome for the action in the air, especially the smaller aircraft. Looks like the combo did just fine for you. As far as showing the maneuver, the angle of the plane will do just fine for ya. Looking forward to seeing the re-edit My Gear:
