I'm going to try out Opteka's updated version of the 6.5mm uwa/fisheye. I can't wait, even though I'll have to do manual focus. It looks like it should be a really fun lens to have and hopefully a good companion on my cruise to Bermuda next month. Ill share some thoughts about a UWA lens.. I am far from a pro, I have the 10-20 Sigma. I have found that shooting with a wide angle takes quite a bit creativity. Most people love 'em or hate them. I will say the first few times using the lens was brutal! Ron Snarski

I have since learned to use the lens more creatively allowing more keepers. Although you didn't ask for advice, the one piece I would give is to leave the other lenses at the house, by doing so it will force you to think outside the box and use your new lens more creatively. The 60D is the perfect body for a UWA lens because of the articulating LCD. That will allow you to basically set the photo on the ground or hi in the sky. The fish-eye will certainly make you part of the pic if not careful! Best of luck, looking forward to the results! Thanks for the advice! I actually do appreciate the input. I'm excited for the very reason that it will force me to be creative in whole new ways, because quite frankly I feel like I could afford to be more creative and take more risks with my photography. I feel like all my shots right now are so safe and it's holding me back. I definitely plan on walking around the city with just that lens and not my kits lens because I'll need to get familiar with it, anyway. It should be in my hands middle of next week, so maybe Friday after work, since I get out at 2, I can really start playing. I have a flickr
