I was about to pass my 100D onto my wife and shell out for a 760D when I did some serious talking to myself....'it's going to be expensive on release....so why not look at a 70D... not much more...but hang on what would a 60D be like?'....not interested in video or using live view much...so I decided to leave the more expensive upgrade for the 860D? or the 80D? in a couple of years time and got a 60D in nice condition [8000 actuations] for not many $ at all! And I love it!! I swear it takes better images than the 100D...I know the same old sensor.....maybe its just a newbie's excitement with a new gadget ![]() Welcome to the club! I still shoot the 60D, it's my UWA and travel specialist! Image hosted by forum (719384) © MakisM1 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Phoenixkh a mere speck More info | Mar 25, 2015 06:40 | #6762 I sold my pristine 60D for $550 including the Canon grip. It had just over 3000 shutter actuations. I had a lot of fun with that camera, but I have the 70D and 7D2 and my wife prefers her SL1. treebound Senior Member More info | Mar 25, 2015 08:59 | #6763 I think I want to check the shutter count on my 60D just out of curiosity, but I don't think there is a way to check it in-camera with the native programming. =====

If you, or somebody you know runs Linux or Mac OSX, you can use a library called gphoto2 and find the shutter count by hooking up the camera via USB to the computer. Gerry
