A fellow forum member loaned me his 70-200 2.8 II for the last three quarters of a local high school football game, and I was floored by his generosity. He was actually kind of excited to try out my 100 f/2 as a change of pace (he shoots with dual 5Diii's) Image hosted by forum (612248) © mickeyb105 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Well I guess it depends on what focal lenght you plan to use them, for example on longer focal lenghts I find the Raynox is better because if i't mounted on top of a 135mm it will give you around 10-12cm of working distance, with a magnification of 135/125= 1.04:1 without any light loss Thanks, and thank for sharing your setup shot ! He was actually kind of excited to try out my 100 f/2 as a change of pace (he shoots with dual 5Diii's) Half-joking, he walks up to me and says, "If you want to be a real sports photographer you need a bigger lens." We had just hooked up on a story I wrote about how amateurs can improve their sports photography last month, so the irony made it even more funny. At any rate, the images I got from the 70-200 2.8 II were even better than I thought they would be and my expectations were not low. I love my 100 f/2, as I am a big believer in "love the one you're with". But shooting with that lens for two hours was like getting to borrow a Porsche to take to prom. The way my 60D responded with the pairing was great, and I chuckled a little bit at all of those photographers who say that my camera isn't supposed to be a good sports shooter. Nice action shots !! gewb wrote in post #14913999 A couple from yesterday (60D w/ 55-250mm set at 250). Watched air show from about four miles away. F22 Raptor flew with a P51 Mustang, made a pass overhead. I kept shooting and when I looked at one of the images I "lost" the Mustang but gained a hawk (for real!). Very minor cropping, sharpen and curve adjust. Regards, GEWB The last shot is very nice, with the bird also there lol.. Carlos

I'm thinking about upgrading to this camera since I don't really have enough to upgrade to any solid lenses but I'm not sure if it would be a noticeable enough upgrade to make it worth it. I feel like the upgrade would come mostly in the feel/size of the camera. -Nick

Keep in mind they have the same sensor though. My name is James ~ Gear
