Not bad...but your white balance missed, at least on my display, it's too cool.

I have it too... It is compatible and works, I didn't get a chance to use it yet for time lapse photography (the reason I bought it).

Here's some fun I had trying a technique with bokeh.

You reminded me that I wanted to try a "cup of warm bokeh" technique too. EF 50mm F1.4 @ F3.5, 1/5 sec, ISO 200.

A few options for you:

1) NEEWER IR Wireless Remote Control RC-6 (external link) - this one is IR and is very cheap and works fine as long as you have a line of sight. I use it sometimes when I am in front of the camera. Cons: IR so need line of sight. Range is not that great. Pros: Cheap, no hook up/setup needed, very small and flat so easy to carry.

2) Yongnuo RF-603 C1 2.4GHz Wireless Flash Trigger (external link) - this one can actually serve dual purpose. It is a remote flash trigger but it also comes with a cable so that you can use it as a wireless shutter trigger as well. It is radio so no line of site needed and it works great. I bought one here and love it and use it pretty often. Cons: no timer function. Pros: doubles as remote shutter trigger as well as flash trigger. Not expensive. Easy to carry.

3) NEEWER Timer Remote Control RS-60E (external link) - I ordered this one a couple of days ago and it should arrive today or tomorrow I hope. Primarily I bought it for timer functions. I can't comment on quality yet but reviews seem to be positive in general. Cons: probably a bit bulky comparing to other options above. Corded. Pros: cheap, timer functions.

Hope this helps.

What is wrong with the one above? It says it will work with a 60D

What did you order below to replace it?

Satechi looks good and I considered it as well. I am sure you'll be happy with it.

A question I have about my 60D. When I use my camera I keep the LCD screen out (as I am sure most everyone does) with the display turned on to the data screen showing what mode I am in, shutter speed etc.

Last night I was using the camera and noticed as I brought the camera up to look thru the viewfinder, the LCD screen did not turn off like it used to do.

I looked thru the Menu settings but did not see anything like it would have an affect on turning off the LCD screen. Is this something in the custom configurations?

Thank you

Charles
