Somehow these were a lot smaller than what I've seen in British Columbia. These mates were not afraid of people. I got really close to them.

I can tell because of the they looked small perched on cattails. Either that or the cattails had grown really big! ... does it really matter?i see with my eyes, i shoot with my fingers.

The ones I've seen there are twice the size. These ones were taken in the middle of Red Deer, Alberta ( just north of Calgary). jodelak wrote in post #14611246 Beautiful set Jun, I saw a couple also yesterday and had the same thought, it looks like they were a bit smaller from what I've seen before. It's more accessible. When riding my bicycle. I used to stop, put down my backpack, remove my DSLR, then shoot. Ooooops the bird flew away already. This one, it's so light and compact. I carry it on a sling. No more than a minute and I am shooting. Jun.Roberto.Dizon.Gregorio
