Sorry I have been away for a little while. I got these images about two months ago of on of my favorite birds. They can be maddening though because they can move so quickly, its hard to be positioned with good sun, them facing you, food around them etc etc.

These are some of the first pictures I have taken with my 500mm lens so I am still getting used to it and trying to get everything right setting wise. I hope you enjoy.

-Jason

love these, the intensity in the eye is amazing, not sure what it's focused on, but it looks like it's in a trance

Both are fantastic shots Jason and a great looking Reddish. I could photograph them every day and never get bored. I keep hoping for that one pose that will be like no other. I can see it in mind but we just don't have the numbers here that you have there. Who knows, maybe next spring.

Congrats on the 500L, it's in great hands.

Super shooting as usual Jeremy. If you are just getting used to that new lens, then I cannot wait to see what you post once you have mastered it. Congrats and enjoy it!

Terrific shots. Always a fun bird to photograph. Am jealous of that new lens.
