You'll love it, just takes a little setting up.

David Busch's book is great teaches a lot of litle things ,,....froma Photogs point of view..
Use back Button focus & your AF keeper rate will go better...just seesm to give it a head start,..

I'm currently in the valley of despair with owning my 7D... not because it isn't an amazing machine but because I haven't made the effort to learn the AF system at all and my photos are rarely in as good as those my GF is producing with her T3... I know that once I invest the time, it will be well worth it ... :) as somebody stated above, it isn't a forgiving camera. :) enjoy though

Sorry, it's just jealousy.

You'll love it, just takes a little setting up. & you need to learn the AF properly

David Busch's book is great teaches a lot of little things ,,....from a Photogs point of view......noit the dribble in the canon booklet ( cant call that a manual )

Use back Button focus & your AF keeper rate will go better...it just seems to give the AF a head start,..

Use the Quick menu for on the fly changes, allow to spend a little time in PS & it will then deliver great images..

I came from a Sony A55......

Ok, Fedex delivered my new 7D about an hour ago. I dropped a charged battery from my 5DII into it and went straight to the custom functions. I sat down at the computer with the owners manual and read while cross referencing with youtube and POTN. The AF looks to be amazing! Got my dogs out in the yard 15 minutes ago and shot them in Ai servo with expanded single point and every single shot is tack sharp at f/4. It's not that hard to learn; just do it!

Love my 7D. Had it for a month or so now after moving from 450d.
Still learning but some of the pics I've taken with it are among some of the nicest I've ever taken.

Good choice, I'm sure.

Got mine about 3-4 weeks ago. So different to my previous camera (Olympus E-510); so much to learn.

Age is a state of mind, and I don't.
