Sigma 100-300mm F4.5-6.7 UC

Hi all, I was looking at the sigma lense on Ebay and it said it will work with the 350D if you get it "chipped"

What is chipping and how much does it cost?? I am on a tight budget and was wondering if this will work out cheaper ?

Don't waste your time and money. This is a slow consumer grade lens that may or may not be chipable. If not you've thrown good money away, if so the performance isn't likely to be worth it. What's you budget? There may be better boptions.

Try posting a WANTED advert in the Marketplace for a SH Sigma 70-300 APO Super II, either the Dg version or the older non DG. Both would be great buys for around £80-90 if you can haggle a little. Normally they go for around £95 mint and boxed but someone might be after some upgrade cash.
