Indianapolis Airshow Media Day

Here are a few shots from Media Day at the Indianapolis Airshow. This show is always a tough shoot due to the backlighting. C&C appreciated.

Great capture on #2. My only CC are of the airborne shots.......all look like the sky can be brought back pretty easily with the color you have, they look a little over-exposed. A couple of minor adjustments in shadow/highlight would fix them right up. I do agree though, too bright of a background is tough to shoot.......but overcast is by far the hardest. Give or take either way.....I don't mind overcast any more though, since there is a high chance for lots of humidity when the jets take the air.

Yep, I do need to work on the sky a bit more on some of these....these were just quick and dirty PP in Lightroom. I did intentionally overexpose a bit to ensure I captured detail in the undersides and shadows of the aircraft. It's always tough in backlit situations to balance detail in the aircraft without blowing out the sky.
