ISO mostly at 3200, few at 2000 or 2500, i have to check if i have a shot or 2 at higher or lower than that range, but i tried to keep my shutter speed at around 1/1600, the ISO was enough between 2000-3200.

I just edited 24 photos out of about 500 shots of yesterday game i went to shoot, it is very difficult to choose, because i can have even 40-50 decent shots great enough, 1DX making me shooting soccer more fun and easier, i get more keeper with it, and my 300 2.8IS became sharper now more than when i was using it with 1DIIn and 1D3, it is like this camera suddenly fixed an issue with my lenses primes or zooms.

The only downside or cons i see with my 1DX shooting soccer is i need longer glasses, i crop a lot, and the results even looks better than cropped of 1D3 but i feel i lose a lot of quality and clarity i need to reserve.

Let the action come to you and fill your frame! 2.8 glass is ideal, a 1.4 tele can help your reach while only losing 1 stop of light. Bright sun, I have very successfully used 2x tele iii with my 200 f1.8 and 1Dx...

bw!

Lol...I just held the shutter release down in high speed continuous! There's 4 more shots with smoke! I LOVE the 1Dx! But I guess I had to know when to start and stop! Thanks ;)

If you're able to zoom in to the back wall of this pic, you'll see the scale of the Burj Khalifa compared with the other tallest buildings in the world.

Nice work. I like the repeating shapes.

That sculptor surely had a nice chuckle when it was decided how to mount them to the wall.

These are really good! Jumped in a little late here, but did you shoot these all with the 1DX and 300 f2.8 IS? If so, was it the Mark I or Mark II version of the 300 f2.8? I'm asking because I've been shooting youth soccer with the 1DX plus 300 f2.8 mark I...but not getting results as sharp as these. I've been shooting at f2.8 and 1/1000 using AI servo mode 4 (the one that's supposed to be good for soccer).

Yes, all done with 1DX + 300 f2.8IS mk1, and all are cropped between 10-65% of the full frame, i don't think one of those are done with 70-200 mkII, because i took my friend's 70-200 mk2 for about 10 minutes then back to 300, but i can tell you that i am happy again with my 300mm.

Is it just me or did my lenses get a refraction from the optometrist with this new body? All my lenses seem to be performing so much better.

I wonder if they adjusted the AA filter? The images SOOC are reminiscent of the old film days - sharp!

^^The 1Dx just does a lot of things right. Beyond that, it's really up to the operator. :)

Yes indeed...I wanted this angle to show how they were mounted, now all I need is a good title for the image; any ideas?
