I got a little bit bored this morning, so I thought I would play around a bit trying some flash photography using my speed-light.

This is a pic of a wood carving I bought in Bali a few years ago which I now have in my lounge-room.

Hi.

I need a help..
what to do?

I have 1d mk3, 70-200 2.8 is I and 300 2.8 is I

what you mean if I sell my 1d mk3, 70-200 2.8 is I and 300 2.8 is I, and
buy 1dx, 70-200 f4 (non IS) and 300 f4 is?

good or bad idea? iso on 1dx between 12800 and 25600, is for me awesome..
now at 1d mk3 i don't want to put up iso higher than 2000...

sorry for my bad english.. :)

^^^ Decision made, why ask - just buy it :-O
Depends on what images you take, but IS counter-balanced by high ISO so you have no problems with the 70-200 f/4.0

After so many years .. my first JPG shooting, by mistake ! ... I will be more careful in the future with the 1DX => so many burned parts and even "bad" noise at even 1600 iso, that photoshop can't help.

But 300L2,8 never missed focus !!!
