Most of them are there waiting for something to happen (Fight, Car crash, nude-paris hilton cough-, etc) things that are "abnormal" of that famous person. They make money from royaltys from places like TMZ and stuff. I think the person that photographed Paris Hilton getting out of her car got paid 1 million dollars per picture (he had like 5) not because she was getting out of her car but that she didn't have any underwear on (wooopsie) but of course he didn't know that he was just shooting and waiting for a moment. Wasn't that Brittany Spears?...Oh well, I can't keep them straight either. Mark

I believe those gigs actually pay better than newspaper jobs... my buddy was put on a stakeout and the day rate was like double what NY Times pays. You do have to sell your soul though, not worth it IMO.
