Any complaints about the new 2.0.3 software?

Should've been released sooner?

Working great as far as I can tell.

A shot from Yesterday Friday night [Now here it is 01:35am Saturday]

IMAGE: http://imageshack.com/a/img829/795/zbis.jpg

When i almost arrived there my car heat went bad and the radiator made a sound with smoke coming out from the car, so i stopped fortunately on the parkings, and one of people helped me by leaving his car and letting me to park in his place.

This is the link of the shot above in a larger size, it is a panorama from 3 horizontal [landscape] frames

http://imageshack.com/a/img809/1912/db1l.jpg (external link)

Resizing it killed the quality, i liked it very much, long time ago when i did shoot it with different cameras and lenses, today was a good clear weather i could manage to have this stitched shot. What do you think, looking at small resized one i feel it is underexposed?!!!

The engineer called me this morning! Apparently the camera and lens were both front focusing - too much to be fixable by MA.

Both sorted out and calibrated under the camera warranty. Should get them back tomorrow. Sweet! Can't wait!

Had a chance to test the camera and lens again today. The front focusing problem in AI servo is no better than before it went to Canon.

I'm really disappointed. I will have to send it back to them again. Don't know what the problem could be.

AI servo, with a cross-type focus point directly on someone's head who is walking at normal speed towards me.

Tried it with acc/dec at -2, -1 and 0 - no difference. All AF settings are set to prioritise focus over speed. Shutter speed 1/800.

Here's an example shot. I took hundreds. They were pretty much all like this. Some slightly better, some even worse.

100% crop of where the focus point was:

And here's a 66% crop of the area in front of the pram, where you can see the plane of focus is:

^ Bummer
Sounds to me you have got a clear, well backed case.
Is this AF problem only in AI servo?
Are you using the new 2.0.3 version?

Yes, using new firmware. Problem was the same with old firmware.

Can anyone think of anything I could be doing wrong??

One shot AF also seems to front focus at some distances, but not as badly as in AI Servo.

By all accounts I have seen, the new firmware works great. No problems. So I finally upgraded mine yesterday. Love the new features.

That's bad news Jack. I can't follow how the camera can be front focusing though? I read what you said about Canon saying the adjustment was in excess of what M.A. could do, which tends to suggest that they've taken the lens element out and re aligned it. That was once done to my 400mm 5.6 which had a similar problem. Except in this case they haven't as the problem is clearly still there.
Assuming Canon were correct in their assessment then I would expect the adjusted lens to have come back precisely adjusted to your 1Dx, i.e. needing 0 M.A. at either end. That is perfectly possible, I have both and my 70-200mm is absolutely sharp at wide and long ends on my 1Dx.
The obvious question which occurs to me is, are other lenses you fit to your 1Dx exhibiting exactly the same problem? If so then the camera is off, if not then it must be your 70-200mm which needs recalibrating (and clearly hasn't been). A phone call to Canon on Monday I reckon.

It is really confusing how this camera started to show some issues, yesterday after the match i met my friend who is in media of the club i am with, and told me that his 1DX has an issue with his 70-200 mk2, focus issue, so i am so worry to reach that point with mine, i will keep looking at this topic here and there to see the end or solutions.
