If you were asking this just nearly when i will have my trip to PNW then you can compare to my 1DX, but i will travel to there in September i hope if everything will be alright, then it is too late as you will solve your issue so far that time.

I took my gear to Glazer's downtown Seattle this morning and we compared pics with their 1DX using same settings/lens and they were identical. I left feeling a little deflated but relieved. Deflated because I had built up my perception of this camera so much that I expected to see pics 10x better than my 5D3. So reality is faster focus and less pixels...a fair trade off since I shoot sports 90% of the time. 1DX | 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM | 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM | EF 1.4X III

I would like to find that it needs microadjust, but I can't find any sharpness in the pic to tell front or back focusing in any aperture. I would like to test more. I would be very interested in someone with a 1DX to post their EXIF data of a sharp image. Just curious. Not the best image but shot at a local rugby match on Saturday, I just downloaded from DPP to PS6 and adjusted Levels no sharpening whatsoever, the focus point was on the chest of the runner with the ball (center point with expansion) case 6 with sensitivity at maximum (ISO 6400, F2.8, 1/1600). After one round of sharpening with Focus Magic - strength 1. apersson850 Obviously it's a good thing More info | Better light, sure, but still a bit tricky to get the focus at the right spot. I'm fine with the result, especially considering that this is with a 2X III extender as well. The 1DX is definitely the best camera I've ever had, but I haven't had any top model from Canon since the F-1. Just second to top. Anders
