It's a big hunk of cash to put on my credit card after all. Be VERY interested to hear from any of you that made the same swap. Thanks .DAVID. For me, I could go either way. The cleaner high ISO is nice, especially when I am shooting indoor basketball. When you get to ISO 6400 and higher, the 1Dx actually resolves slightly more detail than the 1DIV based on some tests I saw. The extra FPS is nice, but isnt significantly different than the 1DIV. AF is definitely better, especially Servo in low light. With all of that, it is still quite more expensive than the 1DIV. Personally, I would rather have the 1DIV and a canon body similar to the D810. Rumors are a high megapixel body is coming soon. If you do landscapes, then I would keep the 1DIV and use the savings for a high MP body. YMMV. Jason

Try plugging the Camera/Card reader into someone else computer and open the same files and see if they are still like that. The shots were displayed broken with horizontal lines on the camera's LCD screen even before the USB / card reader being used. Now the camera is shooting totally black images, so I reckon the sensor has died. Thanks for the suggestion though.
