Awesome motors, the processing doesn't really do it for me though - looks too much like a painting / print (sorry)

Heading down for the finale' @ the Splash Mountain ride in Disneyland (SoCal)... Needless to say, the 'splash' didn't disappoint... It was more like a soaking than a splash... I was drenched from head-to-toe, including my camera/lens... Luckily, the equipment can handle these sort of elements!!! Hehehe... 1Dx + 16-35L II + Breakthrough Photography X2 CPL... I just got my new 1Dx Monday. There was no way I could wait until Friday for the HS football game so I went and shot some at a local middle school game. I'm going to love this camera.

Your wildlife photography is awesome! Did you do a lot of post on the Duck picture or is this how the light fell at that moment. Either way great shot.

Thank you. The image took about 20 minutes to process start to finish, starting with the original shot here:

IMAGE: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/718/21106693232_e2b2952901_b.jpg
IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/ya8jy1 (external link) B36K9643a_DxO (external link) by Mark Corpe (external link), on Flickr

which I took last Winter. You can see that the 'Duck lines' are bird tracks on the ice covering the surface of a pond and the subject was flying towards a group of birds walking over the surface. I raised the light on the subject and reduced the BG light, enhancing the 'lines' at the same time. Some selective saturation and contrast adjustments in CS6 finished it with a fairly big crop to get the subject large in the frame. The hardest part was getting an accurate focus lock on the bird flying towards me. Ducks are a good choice for this as they're a fairly slow flier.
