After reading some of the previous pages, I had noticed some people's cams were affected by this recall/issue (https://www.usa.canon.​com …il&docId=0901e0​24809120b7 (external link)). Anyone here have this issue and have it repaired successfully? Anyone not have this issue, but, sent in their cameras to have them inspected? Any issues found?

I don't think I have this issue, even though my camera is one of the affected ones based on the serial number and no markings, as outlined in the bulletin. So, not sure if I want to send it in if it's not broken...though, based on some others, it gets worse over time? I've got about 18K shots on mine...and the rocket blower only moves some dust, not all.

Thoughts?

If you have the free time/a back up camera then I'd send it in. Mine was on the recall list but I didn't bother until the problem happened, then all of the sudden my camera wasn't autofocusing while I was shooting a NCAA soccer game...

It may not be affecting your camera now - but it will at some point (probably), and not an opportune time.

Thursday Throw-"Back to the Future"!!!

In honor of "Back to the Future" Day (October 21, 2015), the wifey and I visited Twin Pines Mall (aka Puente Hills Mall in SoCal) to enjoy the spectacle this event had to offer... They had two Delorean vehicles, as well as Doc Brown's van on display.... It was crazy crowded, but managed to take a snap-shot with minimal fanfare in the frame... On a side note, I was actually at the original filming of the mall scene back in the early 80's... If I remember correctly, radio show 102.7 (KISS FM) mentioned that they were filming a movie at the Puente Hills parking lot later that night... So my neighborhood friends went out to see them film a few of the scenes in the movie... So it was a bit surreal coming back to the original spot where it all began... Anyoo... Wifey took this shot of me sitting in the Delorean with my lighted Air Mag shoes... 1DX + 50L + 580EXII (fill light)... ISO 800, f/1.4 @ 1/160sec...

Nice one, Manish. Did you do any processing of the face like under the eye area? Granted she's just 17 and likely has perfect skin thanks to her youth. :lol:

I spent about 4 hours retouching that image. But, no blur layers, no artificial 'smoothing,' etc. Takes a while, but, I hope the results show. ;)
