Bike was probably doing close to 80mph at that point. www.davidmaginnissportsphotography.zenfolio.com/

I shoot sports action mostly where I need to control the shutter speed and the aperture settings so Manual suits me best and let the ISO fluctuate as required within pre-set parameters. I can control the exposure by adding or removing exposure compensation as required. www.davidmaginnissportsphotography.zenfolio.com/

airbutchie Not too crunchy ![]() More info | Sep 06, 2021 10:31 | #8774 Two Big Island vacay captures... First capture is Rainbow Falls in Hilo... No rainbows, unfortunately... I thought there would be one, since the conditions were relatively in order (sunshine with light rain from fast moving clouds), but nothing ever materialized... Rotated my CPL filter several times to make sure there wasn't something hidden, too, but that was there... Second capture are a few turtles in the morning sun at Punalu'u Beach (black sand beach) on the south-west side of the island... You need to get there early for two reasons; the crowds and timeframe... The turtles usually come out from the ocean early in the morning and head back to the sea by noon... We got there super early (around 9am) and there was only two people observing the turtles... They left a few minutes after we got there... So we basically had the turtles to ourselves to photograph!!! As we were leaving (30 minutes after our arrival), a large caravan of cars started to arrive in the parking lot... I would say 20-30 people began walking towards the turtles by the time we were exiting the parking lot... Anyhoo... More Big Island photos to come!!! airbutchie Not too crunchy ![]() More info | Sep 07, 2021 08:32 | #8775 Shooting the sunset @ Kailua-Kona during vacay, I saw this gent come into my frame and started to cast his fishing line into the sea... Initially I was pissed off that he ruined my beautiful sunset scenery... But then I looked into the viewfinder again and thought this would be a much better shot... Instead of just the sunset and its amazing sunrays, the addition of the gentlemen fishing and the palm trees add more to the capture than what I could've imagined... With that said, thank you to the fishing man FOR NOT ruining my shot, but making it better than I visually expected!!! Hi. My name is Butch...
