I'm interested in your reasons! Is Capture1Pro THAT much better?

I like CS6 and ACR is better than it was, but I'm not hung up on it by any means!

CaptureOne blows LR away. I started using it recently and it's so much better in many ways. :)

Picked up the 1DX today. The most impressive thing right away is the auto focus speed, feels so fast compared to my 1D3. Going to study up and shoot a little league baseball tournament game Friday night under crappy lighting. The ISO looks pretty sweet, can't wait to try it out at the game. This shot is ISO 20000 F5.6 1/60.

Aperture!

Yes, Aperture has had support since long before the camera was available.

I did it this morning but didn't have much time to play with it. So far everything seems fine. Of course I had to update a bunch of Apple software before doing it.

I've gone from using photoshop ACR, in cs3, to cs4, cs5, and cs6 also using Hasselblad PHOCUS (which sucks, its usable, but sux) and capture1pro from version 3.7

By alllllllllllll means, I find C1 to not only be the greatest Raw processor just in terms of quality and rendering the raw, but its features in version 6 have drassssstically reduced the time I spend retouching and editing in photoshop.

There are soooooo many features in v6 that help speed up the workflow process. It entirely DESTROYS AND DESIMATES Acr.

I am now a certified Phase One Professional..... a grueling and lengthy class/certification process that taught me even more about the depths of the software and also its use with various hardware.

Most big name camera bodies are able to use C1 for processing as well as tethered shooting.

I highly recommend it compared to other options available. With that said, my recommendation is based on ease of use, flexibility, SPEEEEED, efficiency, and QUALITY. To this date, I have yet to see any software beat C1.

just my .02c

I promise to try and blow this page up with 1DX photos instead of spewing my opinion, about whatever, all over the place.... when I do get mine.

Don't know if this has been posted, but it is an interesting review of the camera.

Well, I've spent the last week testing everything I could think of with the camera, reading more stuff in the manual, and then doing more experimenting. My test shots are really boring and haven't really been worth posting unless I saw something I didn't expect. Could be that others are doing the same sort of thing. While doing some testing, I did take a second to point the camera at my son while he was watching TV and snapped a picture. I thought it would look good with a B&W conversion, and I think it does (shot with the 85L at f1.2 and an ISO of 1250).

This is a better advertisement for the camera...ISO 25,600 with lots of blacks and dark tones that show some noise, but it's not distracting and almost has an old film look to it.
