While I like the top one, I think the bottom one would really pop in a metallic print. Both are nice photos.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

I'm going for the color version...

But, it depends on the purpose of why we're choosing.

1D-III with stuff to stick on it:
70-200L, 28-70L, 24-105L, 300L, 50, 10-17 fish, 2.0x TC
Image editing OK, encouraged, and expected. Thank you for helping me learn!

I would definitely say the colored one. Try cropping the image from bottom just a little bit, you might get fantastic results. I really like the image, the contrast of grass and the sky is fantastic.

I think cropping the bottom as mentioned above is a good idea, but I'd also stretch the top right side to straighten the building lines somewhat.

FIRST! It's really good composition wise and the structure in b&w is a clear winner. I would even make it even harsher, maybe [But not sure].

Yeap, I'd agree a little more contrast would make the black and white killer.

But I actually prefer the colour

Agree with most comments, a little more tweaking with the b/w shot, but the coloured one stands out for me.

Yep, that contrast between the blue sky and the warm glow of the sun is just too effective. The black and white image is great, but it's worse.

I like the first.
The b&w makes a more powerful pop than the colored.

Cheers guys - in the end the colour one just didn't work for me so I settled on this version.
