The females were suprisingly active, chasing each other. I saw the male only a few times and its always hiding behind the vines. I really enjoy shooting hummingbirds, specially in flight. I am still learning to use this new camera body and hopefully soon I will be able to take better pictures of these beauties.

Tough day to shoot because the cloud and sun were playing tug of war, I was flipping thru the ISO and shutter speed setup like a mad man.

#7 This is a bit OOF, but I really liked that there is a bee (or a wasp?) in the frame also.

#8 Pardon the feeder, I thought I'd share this also because of the females expression while drinking from the feeder. View large to get a better view of the eyelash (I think).

Thanks for the kind words Phil and Rick. Several times the 2 females stopped right in front of me but all I got was blurred pictures. There were also some very nice poses but I ended up deleting those because it's eithe OOF, too dark or washed out.

Jo! You've done so very well with these. When you get better, you'll be shooting prize winners for sure. Your captures show the dance-like movements of these wonderful little creatures, oh so well!

Keep shooting my friend. You already have me anticipating more!

Nice shots Jo! I have put up a feeder but so far no Hummers as of yet. I hope to get some and would be happy to get them half as good as yours.
