Headed over to Oakland, CA for 510 Skateboarding's event for Go Skateboarding Day and I'd say it was a pretty good turnout. It was pretty crazy shooting this event. At any given time there were anywhere from 2-4 skaters doing tricks around me so I was always on my toes. My timing was off too. I'd shoot one area, turn around to shoot another and a skater would pull off something to make the crowd go wild. It happened a few times which was really a buzz kill for me and confidence destroyer. Felt like I was a step behind, hopefully next time I'll do better.

Enough of that sob story, here's a few pics with a whole bunch more on my blog linked below. Thanks for looking!

Comments & criticism welcome as always.

5. On a separate attempt, he must've jammed his leg or landed wrong, but he was screaming out in pain after saying he broke his leg. He looked to be in a terrible amount of pain, really hope he turned out ok.

Some very good shots. I like that you chose to shoot wide and the processing is pretty cool too!

Thank you! Yeah there was something about the processing that I really liked. It was an overcast day so the sky was shot anyways, but liked how it turned out and put most of the pop on the skater.

Thank you! Yeah these weren't playing around with small tricks which was a lot of fun to shoot and watch.

Gotcha! Thanks for the tips, I'll make sure to use them next time around :)
