Do Canon allow their DPP software, (from the disc provided) to be run on two computers simultaneously?
I was concerned that should I load it on both computers. I would be prevented from downloading updates at a later date.

The EULA says: You are permitted to: (1) use the Software ("use" shall mean storing, loading, installing, executing or displaying the software) on your multiple computers, such as workstations, terminals or other devices for your own personal use; No mention or prohibition of simultaneous use. Moreover, unlike Adobe software, DPP is not capable of connecting to the internet, so how would Canon know? Thanks for your prompt reply. I shall give it a try and see what happens. Alan. flickr

You could install and use it on a thousand computers, there is no 'activation' or such-like associated with this software. Kev

Maxdave Goldmember More info | I currently run the latest version of DPP on one desktop and three laptops at the same time ... although I never run them all at once; since I got a copy with each body I bought, I figure i can run it at least that many times (5DMkII, 7D, 50D, and s90). In reality you can install it and run it as many times as you need to ... 5D3,1D4,S90,6S&Moment Lenses,Hero4Silver,GPS-E2,2x580EX,430EX,90EX,EF16-35L f/4 IS,Samy SYTS24-C 24TS,EF24-105L IS,EF50 f/1.4,EF70-200 f/4L IS,EF300 f/4L IS,EF100-400L I IS,Kenko DGX 1.4X,Canon 2X TC Mk II, RRS&Pro-Media L-Brackets,Manfrotto MHXPRO-3WG & Roller 50,Sirui 306&K-20,Giottos MT-7371&MH-3300,Velbon ElCarmagne 530,CamRanger,Phottix&Canon Remotes,Lowepro Backpack,ThinkTank Retro 20&Modular System,OpTech straps,Lexar/San Disk Cards
