A couple of recent pictures, we have had some days where its been misty all day, these were shot in the afternoon.
with 1Dmk 2 and Mono pod attached to 300mm f2.8 is lens.
the full sized images were stunning, always useful to overexpose this type of shot,
hope you like these, the first shot has just won its first competition.

I'm not surprised that first shot won, it is great. I't look almost monochrome and then you have the streak of green running through. Both are grat and very atmospheric, but #1 just edges it in my opinion.

Sharksbite, Julio, Wayne & Eosd30.
thank you for taking the time to put some nice comments about my image.
The picture was done only 5 miles from home, I was well pleased to get such a good result. along with the other 50 pics. simply to good to stop shooting.

Cheers

Stunning mist images, there has been some good opportunities recently for these kind of images, take a look at the position of the Skirrid Mountain in my post Martin, it's almost the same as yours but about 50 miles away, well done.

Excellent capture - nice work with the lens to "compress" the landscape.

No previous comment begins to describe the impact of the first shot. I can't either. I loved how you fill the frame and left out the horizon. It makes a huge impact. I would love to see more.

Congratulations

Barry

Milou & Dan
Thankyou so much for your kind comments glad you liked my shot.

Barry
You just made my day, such a nice reply and comment about my work, I thankyou so much.
I think everyone knows when you take a good shot at the time of taking it, and often can't wait to get back and see it on screen or print.
I shot maybe 100 that afternoon as the conditions were just right, and sure enough I was not disapointed.

I have just put up some more shots where I should have posted before .
check out the Landscape section ( church spire in mist)

thanks
