They will now hang out on the feeder kind of like I would belly up to the bar. I liked this angle because I could see it lapping up the nectar with its tongue until it got chased off by a rival.   It seems they work in pairs (mated pairs I'm guessing) one will drink while the other will hover above and chase off other hummingbirds. Then they rotate and watch out for the other. Chris
