Got up yesterday at 5. After two cups of coffee headed out.. :)
What a great park. Has anyone here ever been? 4 blinds and 4 dollars to get in.. Man what a deal. Kinda hot though.

I love South Llano River SP. What a great place to see birds. I believe that your orioles are actually Orchard Orioles rather than Baltimore Orioles.

Great shots!

Mark

Hey Mark, thanks for the help. I had never seen one there before.
Chuck, You got that right. When it get's hot water is a calling card. Great birding when hot and dry.

Great series Gary. I always thought everything was bigger in Texas but apparently not the price. ;-)a

Really these parks are fairly close to Austin Texas. A very high tech. and rich city. Most of the funding for birding in central Texas parks comes from a few nature groups there I am pretty sure. I am just lucky enough to live in the area. There are several parks around that they take care of. That is why I always leave a donation when I leave. The 4 dollars is the entrance fee for the Texas parks and wildlife, but the blinds are free.

I'd pay way more than $4 for those shots; outstanding.
