Canon 7D Buffer Problem

Hi, I have been shooting with this card and camera for 2 years already and never had a buffer icon come up.

Recently when I was doing a wedding, I started seeing the buffer icon come up, it fills up really fast and shuts off video after 5-10 seconds. I restart the video after that and it works absolutely fine. Just sometimes (just after I press record) it fills up buffer and turns off video in 5 seconds.

Is this the card dying on me? Since I shot around 150 weddings in 2 years on it, or is it the camera problem?

I have tested it with my other card but not enough to draw a conclusion.

The card has enough speed its the modern 64GB, so its not the speed of the card! I shoot 12 min 1080p clips without a problem but then I need to take a quick shot and buffer fills up for no reason.

PS: I format the card 2 times ever single morning I do the job, it does not fix the issue.

I think you should check the in-camera noise reduction settings... they tend to lower the buffer capacity significantly if set higher than standard. How many continuous shots do you have available? (they are displayed in the viewfinder)

edit: Oh, you were talking about video... hmmm... sorry, I almost never used that feature on my 7D.
