is my sensor damaged ?

Hello all,
Yesterday after a day out with my 5d2 i got home and started doing some pp on some pics.. i noticed that along the bottom of my frame the color is a bit brighter, and this is showing in all of the pictures, in some its more noticeable than others.. here are two example pics, i turn my camera clockwise when i shoot portrait so the bright line now shows at the left edge, its more visible at the bottom:

You may have a developing issue with your shutter's second curtain not closing properly...

If the camera is still under warranty, Canon should fix it for free.

Cool, thanks.. that sounds more probable actually. I had a look at the sensor and it looked very nice and clean. And if id have to pay for getting the shutter fixed, do you know what kind of price im looking at ?

I don't see it very clearly, but what you describe is indeed a shutter problem. I had the same issue and Canon Europe replaced the shutter and the main board under warranty, so obviously it was free of charge, but I read on the repair sheet that it cost 500€ ($625).
As your camera is less than 1yr old, have it fixed asap.
