What’s best time to take picture?
Where the best place to visit & picture
Have: 5D II Canon 20-70, 70-200 F4 IS what else should I take? (lense)

IMO, your 24-70L and 70-200L should be all the glass that you need for the Grand Canyon.

Far too many photographers attempt to cover it all in one shot by using UWA lenses. This, IMO, diminishes the grandeur of the Canyon.

It is far better to shoot several shots in a pano with a longer focal length lens.

If you are on the South Rim. Take the 1-2 hour tour during mid-day when the light is terrible and then return selected areas later in the day when the light is better.
