Need some advice please

I recently put my 100-400 on ebay it was bought within a few minute by someone who has been a member for a couple of hours. I have received an email to day from paypal and the buyer requesting a tracking number and proof of shipment to an address in Nigeria ''sounds fishy'' before they make a payment. Thing is on ebay the buyer has a uk address.

Can this be a scam? Should i cancel the sale.

So they want you to ship it before they pay... yeah right! I'd be wary even if they had paid!

Yeah I thought it was a scam. The fact they bought it using the buy it now price the moment I hit the list button gave it away.

Better cancel the sale then.

Report it through eBay and they should be able to relist it I'd imagine... Or at least I'd hope so!

Sent a message to eBay support, hoping to hear from them soon. He guy has even sent me what seems to a fake PayPal message.

Nigeria ? Uh, I'd have canceled it as soon as I saw that listed. I'd be convinced that I was more right by everything else that followed.

You know the guy, he is the one that has millions of dollars in unclaimed bank accounts which he needs help in getting access to. It will only cost me a few thousand and he will split the millions right down the middle

Do you mean to tell me that after sending 5k I am not going to receive half of the 10 million dollars I was promised. I can't believe that guy lied to me. I guess the fact that half of the words in the letter were not spelled correctly should have been a clue. Yes notify ebay and paypal.

But... but... princes don't lie! And I know he's a prince because he said so in his email! -Although come to think of it, the Nigerian government doesn't have a monarchy system... Uh oh, I'd better go call my bank.

To the OP: Just follow simple commerce 101: Client doesn't get to recieve the goods until AFTER they've paid. eBay even warns against sending an item until payment has been received on their site. Since this is pretty much guaranteed fraud on the buyer's part, you shouldn't have any problems with them voiding the current auction and letting you re-list the item. I've dealt with their fraud department before (though as a buyer, not a seller) and they're pretty quick to help you resolve your problem.

I think you're supposed to send them a box of rocks, if I remember correctly.
