Sorry for the multiple posts. I've had some down time and was able to get some what caught up on my pics and wanted to share some. These pics are from 5/19/12.

This is a whale named Etch-a-Sketch kick feeding.

Sometimes those darn seagulls really mess up your shots!

On our way back to the harbor we found a mom and calf pair. Mom was identified as a whale named Anchor and her calf breached a couple of times as we approached.

Thank you! If you ever do get the chance to go whale watching, definitely do it! They are amazing animals to see in person.

I go whale watching off of Gloucester, MA on their feeding ground called Stellwagen Bank. These were taken near Cape Cod. I've been putting videos on Youtube for the whale watch company I go out on. I don't remember if there are any videos from this trip, but there are definitely some up there. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/captbillswhalewatch (external link)

Thanks Maureen! I always shoot in Av mode on the whale watches. I don't know why exactly, I was just experimenting and found that I had the best luck using Av mode. I use a T3i with the 55-250mm IS lens (with the IS turned off). I've uploaded one of the full pics to my FlickR account if you want to see the full EXIF info: http://www.flickr.com …451492008/in/photostream/ (external link)

Thanks! I'm hoping to get more videos this season as long as they co-operate with me.
