Okay so I have gone thru some 100 threads and everytime I get intrigued by a topic and research I get stuck on another. Some seem to have great advantages and others lack manual flash power control, etc. I know this has been asked a few time on which is the best, but I am looking to cover the general basis of what I may need.

I want the option of off camera use and want to also get into using other means of light sources to light up my subjects. I like the option of the Phottix system being able to adjust power levels from the trigger which will allow me to add additional flashes in the future and adjust the power levels from the trigger.
