to an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic??

Hi all,

Anyone have any good (or bad) experiences with any waterproof point and shoots? I don't expect stunning image quality or great low light performance; I'm just looking for something that has reasonably good overall IQ, and is around $300 or so. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks! :)

I just use a Canon ixus 105 with a waterproof case. It does not produce perfect photos, but it does do the job for memory pictures.

Don't know if this comment is too late for you or not, but I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-TX10, $230, which has worked wonderfully so far. It takes pretty decent pictures dry, and I took it on a 8-hour white water rafting a couple weeks ago I ended up getting dumped in/swimming several times with it, then took some underwater photos as well, no problems at all. I have heard that it can be a pain to change settings while underwater due to the touchscreen, but I have not used it for diving yet, so no personal experience with that.
Enjoy your trip! :)
