Just got my 7D today, Should I upgrade now or familiarize myself first to 7D and upgrade later?
Congratulations, Peter! I've told you before, but it bears saying again... You're going to love it!

I'm interested in seeing if a 1000x Lexar will make a noticeable difference. Anyone care to test? Canon had announced in firmware discussions/release notes that even though you can use a 1000x card, it won't write any faster than it would with a 600x card. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Back to this EOS utility 2.11.4 doesn't function on Mountain Lion with a 7D plugged in. Guess I have to wait until october. Yep, had the same issue. I'm on a Mac Pro and have 6 hard discs. One of them still contains OS 10.7 (Lion) I updated my 7D from the Lion StartUp Disc and all went well.

Hey Guy - Mac OS 10.8, Mountain Lion is a brand new OS just released last week. It's Canon's responsibility to keep up the the OS, not Apple's. Apple had three month's of developer previews and Canon had ample time to upgrade the EOS utility to work with the new OS. And, BTW, do you think that windows 8 will work with the EOS utility out of the box? Let's keep this civil, and not throw stones at the wrong guy
