Practice flight for the big show this weekend. This is my first time trying to photograph a jet. This was the only one that came out ok.

Any recommendations for my next attempt this weekend? shooting with a 50d and 70-200 2.8 is II

Is there something I can do to change that? You should be able to view it if you click on the image and view exif on the flickr site. I will take a look at your link in a few. Thank you!

I sharpened them a tiny bit. And added a bit of fill light in raw. I tried to bring the contrast down, however it seemed to wash the image out. I'm still a novice when it comes to both photography and even more so when it comes to photoshop. I will give it another shot tomorrow. Thank you!

Maybe the program you used to resize the image removed it, or maybe Flickr did.

Just a small nit: You didn't really need 1/6000 for these. You could have used 1/1600 & ISO 100.

Exposure 1/6000 sec
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 200 mm
ISO Speed 400

Bring the contrast up. You're washing the image out with the fill light!

You can use the recovery slider to keep some of the highlights in check, too.

I realized this after reading up last night. I have the camera on AV. I will try it again this weekend in manual. Thank you for the advise
