Here I am again to complain about my skills. Ive been really unhappy about my last few photo sessions and I dont know where to turn. I dont know if my standards are just rising or if Im actually getting worse. Here are 4 that I salvaged. C&C always welcomed. :D

Why not 1 Rick? I think it's my favorite. :)

Shane, what is that you dislike about them?
My only comments/suggestions:
I wouldn't crop the baby's butt out of the picture in #2.
I think crop in #3 is too tight on the right.
Otherwise, they are fine. :)

I would have to agree with this.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Thanks guys. I feel like the lighting is just too flat and lacks a contrasty punch. There just isnt any "wow" to them. However, no matter how many combinations of dodge/burn, curves adjustments I did, I seemed to only make them look worse. I guess they look ok. :D Thanks for the feedback.

Very nice! I think 2 and 4 are your best here.

I'm no expert, but it looks like you need to work on composition a bit. The first would be better if you hadn't cut off her elbow and had maybe angled yourself just slightly more to the right.

As mentioned for the second, the cut off the bottom isn't particularly flattering. If your files are large enough that one might make a cute portrait crop. Though you already have one of those with #3.

Number three needed just a little more head, little less shoulder (or to not be quite so close to begin with). If you've cropped it down, try moving your crop over a bit.

The fourth looks great, though I would smooth out some of the mottling on the skin. It draws the eye away from the baby's face, IMO.

In all of them, her skin seems a tad too pink and softening up the spotty areas would help a lot, unless you want the all natural look, of course!

Hey, thanks, LovingBliss. Thats a very nice constructive critism. :)

I do think I have some cropping room on all the shots. I usually try to stick to native crops because I like to know how theyd look in print. Ill take a look at the crops when I get home. As for her skin, I just dont know what to do with it. She was really really really red to start. Im not sure how to deal with the mottling.
