First, we hit some horrendous thunderstorms on our way home near Quartzite, AZ. I tried a little 80mph hydroplaning, and found that a bit more exciting than I would have liked. THEN, when we got back into town, we stopped for supper at a restaurant, then drove home. When we got to the house, the car wouldn't shut off. It has one of the keyless entry/ignition systems, and it just would not shut off. I finally pulled the fuse for the ignition system and that did the trick, but we have a new situation to bring to the attention of our local friendly Lexus mechanic in the morning. Weird. Who said you could come into my hood?

It's more than just that. She loves Dillard's, and every now and then, they have a big sale. It's an additional 40% off all permanently reduced clearance items. They always do it near the end of the month, but not every month. The send out an email the night before, and that's all the notice we get. I woke up yesterday and checked my mail at about 5:00am. The Dillard's flyer was in my inbox, and by 6:15, we were on our way to Scottsdale. We got there about 10:00, and were headed home by 3:00. These are real whirlwind trips. I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Well yesterday was an annoyingly stressful day, let's see how today goes and see if I get pulled into any meetings over yesterday's disaster. -+What happened yesterday that brought in all the big guns? What were they unhappy about? Not sure why, but call me JJ.

We actually have two Dillards stores closer to us, but they're comparatively small. One is in El Centro, and the other is in Palmdale. While they might be closer, they just don't compare. The Scottsdale store is their flagship for the Phoenix area, and it's huge. It's worth the extra drive, at least from Lois' perspective. BTW, I checked the car this morning. It started......and stopped. I have no idea what the problem is/was, but I'm going to carry a pair of pliers just in case I have to pull that fuse again to shut it off.
